Sébastien Deguy

Sébastien Deguy is the Managing Partner at The Family, an early-stage venture fund, and is based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. Before joining the investment firm in 2022, he served as the General Manager of EMEA operations at Unity Technologies from 2016 to 2021. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and acted as the Chief Executive Officer of Gameloft, a digital entertainment company that was eventually acquired by Vivendi. In his current capacity, he has executed over 20 investments across Europe and the United States, notably leading a Series A funding round for Mistral AI in June 2023. He also frequently speaks at major global industry conferences, including TechCrunch Disrupt and VivaTech. Holding an engineering degree from École Centrale Paris, Deguy currently focuses his professional efforts on advancing artificial intelligence, deep tech, and developer tools.
