Sekhar Sarukkai

Sekhar Sarukkai is an Advisor at Forgepoint Capital and a Lecturer at the UC Berkeley School of Information, based in San Mateo, California. After earning a PhD in Computer Science from Indiana University, he began his career as a computer scientist at the NASA Ames Research Center before serving as chief architect for HP Labs. As a serial entrepreneur, Sarukkai has founded or co-founded four technology companies, including cloud security firm Skyhigh Networks, which was acquired by McAfee in 2012. Following the acquisition, he transitioned to the role of Fellow and Chief Scientist at McAfee, adding to a career that includes earning the Infoworld Top 25 CTO award and the Cisco Pioneer award. Today, his primary focus centers on advising early-stage venture capital investments and educating professionals in the cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure sectors.
