Semyon Dukach is the Founding Partner at One Way Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. After earning degrees from Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he led a professional blackjack team, he co-founded technology companies including Fast Engines, which was acquired in 2000. Dukach subsequently built a portfolio of over 100 angel investments and served as the Managing Director of Techstars Boston, backing notable startups like the language learning unicorn Preply. Beyond his venture capital work, he co-founded the non-profit organization Cash for Refugees, which has provided direct financial assistance to more than 15,000 families displaced by the war in Ukraine. Recognized as a top New England venture capitalist by the Boston Globe in 2025, his current investment strategy focuses on deeptech, artificial intelligence, and software companies led by immigrant founders.
