Sergei Balakirev

Sergei Balakirev is the Investment Director at Xploration Capital, a venture capital firm, and is currently based in London, United Kingdom. Before assuming this leadership position in October 2021, he spent two years as a Vice President at Larix VC and nearly two years as an Investment Analyst at TN Capital. His early career includes foundational financial advisory and corporate audit experience, having worked as a Consultant at PwC from April 2014 to September 2015 and completing an audit internship at KPMG in early 2013. He holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in August 2019. Balakirev currently focuses his venture capital investments on targeting ambitious global software-as-a-service companies, digital ecosystems, and innovative next-generation technology platforms.
