Sergio Fogel is a Uruguay-based serial entrepreneur and active angel investor who currently serves as a board member for the fintech unicorn dLocal. He co-founded dLocal in 2016, scaling the payment processing platform to an $18 billion peak valuation with backing from investment firms like General Atlantic and Tiger Global Management. Prior to this, Fogel established multiple technology ventures, including the B2B marketplace ElAgora.com, the VoIP provider Uniotel, and the payments processor Astropay. As an angel investor, he has funded over 15 technology startups and holds board positions at TiendaMIA, Apptim, and Endeavor Uruguay, where he is Vice-President. He earned an MBA from INSEAD and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Technion.
