Sergio Monsalve

Sergio Monsalve is a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) based in San Francisco, California, where he leads investments in enterprise software and artificial intelligence. Before entering venture capital, he built his technical foundation as a Product Lead at Google and as an operator at Scale AI. Monsalve holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Since joining NEA in March 2024, he manages over $100 million in investments and maintains board roles at more than five technology companies. He recently executed his investment strategy by leading a $50 million Series A funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Vectara in early 2025. Monsalve leverages his dual background as an operator and investor to scale early-stage innovation across frontier technology and cybersecurity.
