Shaun Maguire

Shaun Maguire is a Partner at Sequoia Capital based in Menlo Park, California, where he specializes in seed and early-stage investments. He manages the firm's stakes in several of Elon Musk's enterprises and has led high-profile investments in SpaceX, xAI, The Boring Company, and Neuralink. Before joining Sequoia, Maguire served as a Partner at GV from 2016 to 2019 and co-founded the cybersecurity firm Expanse, which Palo Alto Networks acquired for more than $1 billion in 2020. His earlier career includes working at DARPA, which involved a deployment to Afghanistan, alongside earning a doctorate in physics from Caltech and a master's degree in statistics from Stanford University.
