Sherry Coutu

Sherry Coutu is a Cambridge, UK-based entrepreneur and investor who currently serves as a non-executive board member at Phoenix plc, Raspberry Pi, and Pearson plc. She is also the founder of Founders4Schools, Digital Boost, and The ScaleUp Institute, having transitioned her primary focus toward philanthropic educational initiatives in 2015. Previously, Coutu held board and advisory positions at the London Stock Exchange Group, Zoopla, LinkedIn, and the University of Cambridge Finance Board. Beginning her career as an angel investor in 2000, she has backed more than 50 individual companies and invested in five venture capital firms. In addition to her investment activity, she authored the 2014 Scale-Up Report and launched the Workfinder application in 2017 to facilitate student work placements. Her extensive career centers on scaling businesses within the consumer internet, information services, and education sectors.
