Shinichiro Fuse

Shinichiro Fuse is a Partner at GMO Venture Partners based in Tokyo, Japan, where he directs seed to Series A investments across the Japanese and Southeast Asian markets. Prior to his current position, he worked as an early-stage investor at Mitsubishi UFJ Capital and received his degree from Keio University. His venture capital portfolio encompasses more than 50 companies, highlighted by significant liquidity events such as the 2021 initial public offering of the accounting software firm freee, alongside other notable investments. In 2024, he led a funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Preferred Networks, and he subsequently joined the Tokyo Tech Accelerator as a mentor for its 2025 cohort. Fuse currently maintains a primary investment focus on deploying capital into early-stage technology startups operating within the fintech, enterprise software, deep tech, and consumer internet sectors.
