Shirish Sathaye

Shirish Sathaye is a General Partner at Cervin Ventures based in Palo Alto, California. In his current role, he directs early-stage investments ranging from $1 million to $2 million into enterprise software, cloud technologies, and data infrastructure startups. Prior to joining Cervin in 2018, he accumulated over two decades of venture capital experience as a General Partner at Matrix Partners and Khosla Ventures. Before transitioning to investing, he served as Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Alteon Websystems, where he helped scale the company from 20 to over 800 employees ahead of its multi-billion dollar initial public offering. His historical venture capital portfolio features the early backing of prominent enterprise technology companies, most notably Aruba Networks. Sathaye maintains a primary focus on identifying and funding next-generation enterprise software and artificial intelligence businesses.
