Shmuel Harlap is an active high-tech venture capital investor operating through Colmobil, based in Israel. He holds a doctorate in political philosophy from Harvard University, alongside undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His extensive venture capital portfolio includes early backing of Mobileye, which generated over $1 billion for Harlap and Colmobil following its 2017 acquisition by Intel. He also held shares in Mellanox prior to its $7 billion acquisition by Nvidia in 2019 and invested in the medical device firm Orcam Technologies. Utilizing his Nvidia stock holdings, Harlap recently directed over $180 million to Beilinson Hospital and contributed approximately $10 million to the Weizmann Institute for campus infrastructure restoration.
