Shums Kassam

Shums Kassam is a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based serial technology entrepreneur and Chief Technology Officer specializing in the architecture of scalable software platforms. He previously served as the Co-founder and CTO of Blynk, an Internet of Things software development tool that was successfully acquired by the mobile messaging application Kik in 2018. Following this corporate exit, Kassam co-founded and acted as CTO for Hatchways, an educational technology recruiting platform that secured institutional funding from Y Combinator during its Summer 2019 startup cohort. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, providing the formal technical foundation for his various entrepreneurial ventures.
