Simon Bartmann is a Principal at Energy Impact Partners, a global venture capital firm focused on the energy transition, based in Cologne, Germany. Prior to joining the investment team at Energy Impact Partners in 2021, he spent over four years at E.ON Inhouse Consulting. In that capacity, he served as a Project Manager and advised on strategic corporate initiatives across the broader European utility and energy sector. His academic background includes advanced studies in industrial engineering and business administration, holding degrees from both RWTH Aachen University and Tsinghua University. Bartmann currently leverages his corporate utility experience to source and execute venture capital investments in early and growth-stage climate technology startups across the European market. His primary focus remains on identifying scalable software and hardware solutions that accelerate the decarbonization of the global industrial economy.
