Simon Goldman

Simon Goldman is an Investment Director at AlbionVC, where he co-manages the £50 million UCL Technology Fund dedicated to commercializing university intellectual property. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2015, he worked in the Healthcare, Biotech, and Portfolio Strategy teams at Goldman Sachs JBWere in Melbourne. His academic foundation includes a PhD and postdoctoral research in neuroscience, both of which were completed at the University of Cambridge. Goldman also gained direct operational experience by working within various early-stage biotechnology startups across the United Kingdom and Australia before transitioning to institutional investing. In his current capacity, he directs venture capital toward healthcare innovations, working closely with biotechnology portfolio companies such as NovalGen, PanAngium, and AstronauTx. His current focus centers on funding and scaling emerging therapeutics, novel delivery systems, clinical diagnostics, and technologically advanced medical devices.
