Simon Leicht

Simon Leicht is a Founding Partner at Green Generation Fund, an independent early-stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany. Prior to co-founding the €100 million sustainability-focused venture fund alongside entrepreneur Janna Ensthaler in 2021, he served as a Principal at FoodLabs, where he actively led initial investments in alternative protein and climate technology startups. During his extensive tenure at FoodLabs, Leicht managed a diverse investment portfolio of over twenty early-stage companies and facilitated multiple successful exit transactions across the European technology ecosystem. He holds a formal business degree from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, an institution that provided the foundational financial expertise for his subsequent career in institutional venture capital. Leicht currently focuses his efforts on financing pre-seed and seed-stage enterprises developing disruptive, scalable solutions in food technology, industrial decarbonization, and sustainable agriculture.
