Simon Rothman

Simon Rothman is a Partner at Greylock Partners based in California, United States. Before entering venture capital, he served as Vice President of US Operations at eBay, where he helped scale the platform to 200 million users and $40 billion in sales. He also founded and led eBay Motors as Global Vice President, building it into a $14 billion annual business, and later served as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Glyde Corporation. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and studied at Harvard University. As an investor and advisor, he has backed prominent technology companies including Tesla, Lyft, and Nuro, while leading a $100 million commitment to marketplace investments at Greylock. His current focus centers on funding and advising early-stage consumer networks, platforms, and marketplace businesses.
