Simona Corno

Simona Corno is a Senior Partner and Co-Manager of the VenturItaly II fund-of-funds at CDP Venture Capital Sgr. In May 2024, she launched the new investment vehicle alongside co-manager Roberto Parrella with a €500 million target size and a €700 million maximum capacity. Prior to this initiative, Corno managed the predecessor VenturItaly fund, which allocated capital across 19 Italian venture capital funds and generated a threefold leverage effect in the local market. Her broader mandate includes overseeing the FOF Internazionale, encompassing both domestic and international venture capital funds targeting high-tech companies across the entire seed to late-stage spectrum. She specifically targets portfolios operating in sectors such as energy transition, aerospace, agritech, digital technology, and life sciences. Corno currently focuses on executing indirect investment strategies to systematically strengthen and expand the broader Italian venture capital ecosystem.
