Sina Afra is the Managing Partner at Da Vinci Invest, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to his current role, he co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Trendyol, a Turkish e-commerce platform that reached a $16.5 billion valuation in 2021. He also founded the online fashion retailer Markafoni, which was acquired by the multinational internet group Naspers in 2016, and established the regional operations for Groupon Turkey. Through Da Vinci Invest, Afra manages a portfolio of more than 20 startups, recently leading a 2024 seed funding round for the artificial intelligence logistics company LogiNext. The Boğaziçi University business administration graduate expanded his advisory roles by joining the board of ScaleX Ventures in early 2025. His current focus centers on funding early-stage consumer technology, fintech, and marketplace enterprises across European and emerging markets.
