Somdip Dey is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nosh Technologies, an artificial intelligence software company based in London, United Kingdom. Prior to establishing Nosh Technologies in 2020, he served as an Embedded AI Researcher at the University of Essex, where he developed machine learning algorithms specifically designed for mobile and edge computing devices. Dey previously worked as a Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics, contributing to the development of commercial software systems and optimizing mobile processing architectures for consumer electronics. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers and holds multiple patents related to artificial intelligence, computer vision, and electronic waste reduction. His current professional focus remains on scaling proprietary computer vision models to reduce global food waste through consumer-facing mobile applications and enterprise supply chain integrations.
