Sonali De Rycker

Sonali De Rycker is a General Partner at Accel based in London, England, where she focuses on early-stage investments across the consumer internet, software, and fintech sectors. She holds a 1995 economics degree from Bryn Mawr College and graduated from Harvard Business School before beginning her financial career at Goldman Sachs. After working at Atlas Venture, she joined Accel in 2008 and has since directed the venture capital firm's investments across more than 70 cities in Europe and Israel. Ranked number two on the 2019 Forbes Midas List Europe, De Rycker has led successful investments in prominent technology companies including Spotify, Monzo, and Avito. She previously served on the board of Match.com and guided portfolio acquisitions by Naspers and The Carlyle Group. Her current investment strategy primarily targets artificial intelligence application-layer startups within the European technology ecosystem.
