Sonya Brown

Sonya Brown is a General Partner and Co-Head of Growth Equity at Norwest Venture Partners in Menlo Park, California. Before joining the firm in 2011, she spent nearly a decade as a Principal at Summit Partners, leading the North American Consumer and Internet Industry Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. With over twenty years of venture capital experience, she focuses on growth equity and buyout investments across the consumer products, retail, beauty, and business services sectors. Her current portfolio features prominent consumer brands, including board roles at Babylist and Poolwerx, and a board observer position at Madison Reed. Previously, she directed successful investments in companies such as PCA Skin, which was acquired by Colgate-Palmolive, alongside Bailey 44 and The Learning Experience.
