Sophie Forest

Sophie Forest is the Managing Partner at Brightspark Ventures, a prominent early-stage venture capital firm based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Before assuming her current position, she held institutional investment roles at BDC Capital and Desjardins Securities, and she earned an MBA from HEC Montréal. In her capacity at Brightspark, she oversees a portfolio of more than 50 companies and recently led the firm's $250 million Fund IV close in March 2024, bringing the firm's total assets under management to over $500 million. Her investment track record includes notable exits such as the 2019 initial public offering of Lightspeed Commerce and the 2021 acquisition of Croesus, alongside a 2023 board of directors appointment at Hopper.
