Sophie Purdom

Sophie Purdom is the Managing Partner at Planeteer Capital and the Co-founder of Climate Tech VC, based in New York City. She established Planeteer Capital as an early-stage venture firm focused on climate technology, managing a $50 million inaugural fund to back founders building sustainable solutions. Prior to launching her fund, she co-created Climate Tech VC, a leading industry newsletter and data platform that tracks venture activity and reaches over 50,000 subscribers globally. Her earlier career includes working as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where she advised corporate clients on strategy and operations, and serving as an early-stage investor at an agricultural technology fund. Purdom holds a degree from Brown University and currently focuses on deploying capital into pre-seed and seed-stage climate tech startups while expanding data-driven insights across the global decarbonization sector.
