Spencer Farrar

Spencer Farrar is currently an Investor at Theory Ventures, where he focuses on researching new technologies and funding early-stage innovation. Prior to his current role, he worked as an investor at a $4 billion US asset management firm, where he collaborated with Tomasz to back a startup that eventually reached decacorn valuation status. Farrar also brings direct operational experience from the startup sector, having previously built and scaled an options trading platform alongside a team of quantitative traders. He completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where he competed as a two-sport athlete, earned four PAC-12 All-Academic Honors, won an NCAA Championship, and secured a bronze medal representing Team USA at the World University Games. Today, his primary focus centers on identifying determined founders who leverage unique customer insights to build enduring, innovative technology enterprises.
