Spencer Punter

Spencer Punter is the Partner and Chief Operating Officer at DCVC, based in Silicon Valley. He brings over 25 years of professional experience across venture capital and startup operations, previously serving as a General Partner at Bowman Capital where he co-managed a $1 billion late-stage venture program. Punter also held senior investment roles as a Partner at Bay Partners and a Managing Director at Capital Dynamics, overseeing global venture capital fund of funds. On the operational side, he has guided four venture-backed startups, holding executive positions including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at enterprise software companies SnapLogic and Appcelerator. He holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in physical sciences from Harvard University. His current focus centers on managing firm operations and supporting deep tech portfolio companies across the broader venture capital ecosystem.
