Stefan Cohen

Stefan Cohen is a Partner and Managing Director at Bain Capital Crypto, where he leads the firm's cryptocurrency and blockchain investments. Since joining the organization in 2016, he has directed capital toward various early-stage projects across layer 1 infrastructure, scaling solutions, decentralized finance, and privacy technology. Before transitioning to venture capital, he was an early employee at the enterprise datacenter management software company Turbonomic. During his tenure there, he established the internal strategy and operations team and spearheaded the company's expansion into the EMEA regional market prior to its $2 billion acquisition by IBM in 2021. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant on IBM's internal corporate strategy team. His professional background combines direct enterprise software operations with specialized venture investing in decentralized infrastructure, decentralized autonomous organization services, and emerging blockchain ecosystems.
