Stefan George

Stefan George is a Managing Partner at Speedinvest, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Vienna, Austria. Before joining the firm in 2020, he co-founded and led the financial technology startup Penta, which was acquired by N26 in 2022. His earlier professional background includes corporate advisory and strategy roles at McKinsey & Company, following his graduate education at the University of St. Gallen and the University of Vienna. At Speedinvest, which manages over €1 billion in total assets, George has overseen more than 100 investments and helped raise a €150 million opportunity fund in 2024. His portfolio features notable unicorns like Personio and Mews, highlighted by his role co-leading a €200 million Series E round. He currently focuses his efforts on early-stage European investments across the B2B software, financial technology, and climate technology sectors.
