Stephan Apel

Stephan Apel is the CEO, Board Member, and Founding Partner at Outlier Ventures, based in London, United Kingdom. Before transitioning to the blockchain sector, he spent eleven years in investment banking at Merrill Lynch International and Moelis & Company, where he led mergers, acquisitions, and equity capital markets transactions for financial institutions. He holds an MBA and a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from Germany's EBS University. As an active angel investor, Apel has participated in more than fifty companies and token projects, including early investments in Coinbase and MasterClass. Through his leadership at Outlier Ventures, the firm's accelerator alumni, which include Brave Browser, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, have collectively raised over $350 million following their graduation. Apel currently focuses on expanding global Web3 infrastructure, overseeing strategic cryptocurrency investments, and managing token launch platforms for the decentralized internet.
