Stephanie Carter

Stephanie Carter is the founder of The Verse Media and a highly seasoned marketing professional who is currently based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. She previously spent over fifteen years working in venture capital and growth equity, most notably serving as a General Partner at ABS Capital Partners. After joining the firm during 1994, she established the investor relations function, led marketing, events, and investment research, and successfully raised one billion six hundred million dollars across multiple funds. Outside of her corporate fundraising career, she passionately advocated for military veterans in support of the Department of Defense alongside her late husband, former Secretary of Defense Ash Carter. For these dedicated efforts supporting military families, she received the prestigious Distinguished Public Service Award from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2017.
