Stephanie Choo

Stephanie Choo is a General Partner and Co-Head at Portage Ventures, based in New York, New York. She directs the firm's North American investment team, overseeing capital deployment across consumer fintech, embedded infrastructure, and cryptocurrency from a global fund managing over $3 billion in assets. Before joining Portage as a Partner in 2016, Choo served as the Fintech Venture Lead at BCG Digital Ventures and spent five years executing strategic initiatives at Boston Consulting Group. During her consulting tenure, she led a product team that successfully developed a digital financial advice platform serving more than two million Canadian users. Her recent venture capital activity includes backing the financial technology startup Tallied in December 2022. Choo currently focuses on funding early-stage companies that modernize financial infrastructure, integrate artificial intelligence, and disrupt traditional payment monopolies.
