Stephen Pagliuca

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Stephen Pagliuca is a Senior Advisor and former Co-Chairman of Bain Capital, as well as the Principal Owner and Co-Chairman of the Atalanta BC football club. After joining Bain & Company in 1982 to help create its turnaround practice, he transitioned to Bain Capital in 1989, helping build a firm that currently manages approximately $180 billion in assets. Beyond his private equity career, he previously served as a managing general partner and co-owner of the Boston Celtics and currently holds board positions at Gartner and Virgin Voyages. He holds degrees from Duke University and Harvard Business School, where he established the Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab in 2016 to support life sciences research. Pagliuca currently focuses on growth capital investments across the biotechnology, technology, media, and sports sectors through his family office, PagsGroup.
