Stephen Rodriguez

Stephen Rodriguez is a Venture Partner at Refinery Ventures and the Founder of One Defense, a consulting firm focused on integrating commercial technology into national security applications. He currently serves on the boards of 14 venture-backed companies and holds advisory or investment roles with prominent defense technology firms including Applied Intuition, Ursa Major Technologies, and ZeroMark. Previously, he worked as an Asymmetric Warfare Advisor for the United States Federal Government from 2017 to 2021, gaining direct operational experience across Afghanistan, Colombia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Rodriguez is also a Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council, a Special Advisor at America’s Frontier Fund, and a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His current professional focus centers on venture investing and strategic advisory within the defense industrial base, specifically targeting artificial intelligence and software-defined warfare.
