Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki is a global music producer, entrepreneur, and the Founder of Aoki Labs, a dedicated venture capital fund officially launched in July 2025. Prior to formalizing his institutional investment efforts, he spent decades operating as a private angel investor, securing early equity stakes in prominent technology companies including Uber and Pinterest. He established Aoki Labs alongside partners Matt Colon, Dougie Bohay, and Chief Executive Officer Tashi Nakanishi to systematically target emerging early-stage consumer opportunities. The firm's initial portfolio features investments in Audio Media Grading, an entity Aoki originally founded in 2022, as well as Alexis Ohanian's Mantel, Kelly Slater's Freaks of Nature, Neuro, and Sanzo. His current investment strategy focuses on funding consumer innovation, entertainment, and longevity startups, with a specific emphasis on supporting AAPI-led ventures across the broader wellness and lifestyle sectors.
