Steven Crossan is an Operating Partner at DCVC and a Venture Partner at firstminute capital, focusing on early-stage artificial intelligence investments. He previously served as Vice President of AI and Machine Learning at GlaxoSmithKline and led the integration of DeepMind into Google products following its 2014 acquisition. During his tenure at Google, Crossan was a founding member of the AlphaFold team and contributed to core applications including Maps and Search. He also founded Dayhoff Labs to build biochemical AI models and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board at Danaher alongside advisory roles at Riverlane and Cradle. He holds a master's degree in computer science from University College London and a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Oxford. Crossan currently focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence and deep tech to advance biotechnology and drug discovery.
