Steve Tomlin

Steve Tomlin is an investor at Avalon Ventures based in San Diego, California, where he concentrates on wireless, information technology, media, and software investments. He brings over 20 years of executive experience across the technology sector, having previously served as the co-founder, President, and CEO of PersonaLogic before its acquisition by AOL in 1998. Prior to that transaction, Tomlin worked as the Vice President and General Manager of QVC Interactive under Barry Diller, and held the position of Director of New Business Development at Walt Disney Computer Software. His early career included investment banking at Shearson Lehman Brothers, and he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School alongside a BA from Yale University. Currently holding board seats at StackIQ and Proximal Data, Tomlin leverages his operational background to guide early-stage digital media and enterprise software startups.
