Steven Hartanto

Steven Hartanto is the Chief Business Officer at Maple Materials Inc., where he currently leads the company's strategic finance, business development, and business operations. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Special Projects at 8090 Industries. In this venture capital role, he directed due diligence processes for five distinct industrial decarbonization investments. Before that, Hartanto spent a decade at Cherokee Investment Partners, a $2 billion private equity firm, where he oversaw a $500 million venture portfolio comprising over thirty investments in environmental businesses. His earlier professional career includes strategy and operations leadership roles at Zocdoc and Industrial Heat, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Occidental College.
