Steven Wang

Steven Wang is a Partner at OrbiMed in Beijing, China, where he focuses on healthcare equity investment opportunities across the broader Asian market. He brings over 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity across North America and Asia, having executed healthcare transactions at Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Rothschild in New York and Hong Kong. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Wang led pharmaceutical and biotechnology investments at CPE, one of the largest private equity firms in China. He began his career conducting allergy and immunology research at Schering-Plough, now part of Merck, before earning a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance with Distinction from New York University. Wang currently leverages his scientific and financial expertise to direct growth capital toward emerging pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare innovation companies.
