Sudip Chakrabarti

Sudip Chakrabarti is currently a Partner at Decibel Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm where he focuses on leading investments in technical founders. Before joining Decibel Partners, he established his venture capital career through successive investment roles at prominent firms including Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Madrona Venture Group. Prior to his transition into institutional investing, Chakrabarti operated as a serial entrepreneur who founded two distinct technology startups. While completing his Doctor of Philosophy degree in computer engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, he launched his first venture-backed company, which utilized advanced machine learning algorithms to optimize complex semiconductor manufacturing processes. He currently leverages this extensive academic training and his practical operational experience as a former technical founder to identify and support early-stage technology startups specializing in machine learning and semiconductor innovation.
