Susan Sobbott

Susan Sobbott is currently a Partner at Lead Edge Capital, leveraging over 28 years of executive experience in the financial services sector. She previously spent nearly three decades at American Express, where she served as President of Global Commercial Services and spent ten years as President of American Express OPEN. During her tenure leading the OPEN division from 2004 to 2014, she launched more than 20 card products, grew revenues by over 50 percent, and doubled the unit's profits while founding the national Small Business Saturday initiative. An alumna of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, she also holds multiple corporate governance roles, including serving on the boards of WEX since 2018 and Bambee since October 2022. Her current focus centers on advising high-growth B2B companies on go-to-market strategies, small business payments, and large-scale operational expansion.
