Tahir D'Mello

Tahir D'Mello is the cofounder and Chief Technology Officer of Zeon Systems, an artificial intelligence and robotics startup based in San Francisco, United States. Founded in 2025 with an initial five-person team, the company recently participated in the Y Combinator Spring 2025 batch to develop advanced automation tools for scientific laboratories. Prior to his current venture, D'Mello served as an early engineer at LatchBio, where he focused on building software and machine learning infrastructure for computational biology. His professional career spans the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors across both India and the United States. Additionally, he has conducted computational research at prominent academic institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology, Yale University, UCSF, and UPenn. D'Mello's current focus centers on integrating machine learning models with robotics hardware to streamline complex laboratory operations and accelerate scientific discovery.
