Tara Bansal

Tara Bansal is an entrepreneur and investor currently building new companies at Breakthrough Energy Ventures in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction in Public Policy and Global Health from Duke University in 2017, where she was an Angier B. Duke Scholar, and completed a semester abroad studying political economy at the University of Oxford. Prior to her current venture capital role, Bansal conducted extensive global health research, including a 2015 study on social density in Indian slums and field work on immunization strategies in Indonesia alongside the World Health Organization. Following her undergraduate studies, she joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant based in Washington, D.C. Her professional focus centers on the climate technology sector, specifically commercializing academic research to develop sustainable, healthy, and secure enterprise solutions.
