Tekin Salimi

Tekin Salimi is the founder of the crypto-native investment fund dao5 and operates as a venture capitalist based in the United Arab Emirates. He established the experimental seed-stage firm in March 2022 and subsequently launched the firm's second venture fund in May 2025. Prior to launching his own investment vehicle, Salimi served as a General Partner at the digital asset firm Polychain Capital in 2018. Earlier in his career, he worked as a corporate lawyer at Torys LLP from 2015 to 2017 after earning his Juris Doctor from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School. Alongside his venture activities, he currently sits on the advisory board for the Thailand Digital Investor Club. Salimi maintains a dedicated focus on the cryptocurrency sector, directing capital toward decentralized applications, blockchain protocols, and emerging token standards like Berachain.
