Thomas Alt

Thomas Alt is a Partner at Atlantic Bridge University Fund based in Munich, Germany, where he focuses on seed and Series A investments in deep tech university spinouts. Before joining the firm in 2023, he spent over 15 years as a Partner at High-Tech Gründerfonds, overseeing more than 100 personal investments and participating in notable exits such as the 2021 SPAC merger of Lilium. His recent investment activity includes co-leading a €7 million seed round for artificial intelligence hardware startup Semron in February 2025. Prior to his venture capital career, he studied physics at LMU Munich and the University of Cambridge before holding various corporate strategy roles. Alt currently leverages his two decades of venture capital experience to bridge academia and industry by identifying and scaling early-stage quantum computing, robotics, and biotechnology companies globally.
