Thomas Krane

Thomas Krane is a Managing Director at Insight Partners, where he focuses on executing growth-stage software investments across global technology markets. Since joining the prominent venture capital firm in 2012, he has specialized in funding high-growth businesses operating within the cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure software sectors. His extensive investment portfolio includes backing prominent enterprise software companies such as SentinelOne, Sysdig, and Tricentis. Over the course of his professional career, Krane has spent more than ten years evaluating complex software markets and structuring venture capital transactions to scale early-stage startups into established industry leaders. Prior to his current career in institutional technology investing, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania. Krane currently directs his primary capital allocation efforts toward identifying emerging infrastructure technologies and supporting next-generation security platforms.
