Thomas Pischke

Thomas Pischke is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Trade Republic Bank GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany. Alongside co-founder Christian Hecker, he developed the technical architecture for the fintech brokerage platform, which secured its securities trading bank license in 2016 and now serves millions of retail investors across European markets including France, Austria, and the United Kingdom. Prior to establishing the trading application, Pischke studied physics at Technische Universität München and earned a master's degree in physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. He also completed studies at ETH Zürich and developed his technology management expertise through the Center for Digital Technology and Management. Following multiple rounds of growth financing, he currently retains approximately a 2.6 percent stake in his holding company. His current focus centers on scaling Trade Republic's digital asset management infrastructure and ensuring regulatory compliance.
