Tiasia O'Brien

Tiasia O'Brien is a Scout at Ganas Ventures, a Latina-led early-stage venture capital firm. Working alongside General Partner Lolita Taub, she identifies and evaluates pre-seed and seed investment opportunities across the United States and Latin America. Her sourcing efforts support a portfolio that is presently allocated 55 percent to domestic startups and 45 percent to Latin American enterprises. O'Brien evaluates community-driven founders for an investment firm backed by more than 70 limited partners and an external network of over 100 deal partners. The resulting capital deployments reflect a defined demographic mandate, with the active portfolio currently comprising 90 percent BIPOC-led, 55 percent women-led, 50 percent Latine-led, and 10 percent LGBTQ-led companies. Her current focus remains on leveraging an established 86,000-member community network to source and evaluate diverse, early-stage technology ventures for future institutional venture capital investment.
