Tobias Jahn

Tobias Jahn is currently a Partner at Hitachi Ventures GmbH, where he focuses on deep-tech and climate solutions across global markets. Before joining Hitachi in July 2022 to help deploy a $400 million fund, he spent six years at BMW i Ventures, ultimately serving as Managing Director for Europe. His earlier career includes over six years as a Senior Manager at 3M Ventures investing in energy management software, following an initial six-year tenure in technical and innovation management at the BMW Group. Recognized in the GCV Emerging Leaders Top 50 in 2022, Jahn has facilitated over twenty corporate collaborations bridging environmental, social, and governance needs with scaling startups. His current investment focus centers on transformative hardware and software technologies, specifically targeting industrial decarbonization, quantum technology, fusion energy, and the broader energy transition.
