Tobias P. Schirmer

Tobias Schirmer is a Founding Partner at Join Capital, an early stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany, where he focuses on European deep tech, industrial software, and defense technology startups at the Pre-Series A stage. He manages over €150 million in total assets, which includes a €112 million second fund prominently backed by the NATO Innovation Fund and KfW Capital. His recent investment activity features leading a $9 million Seed round for Kreios Space and co-leading a 4 million dollar Pre-Series A round for 36ZERO Vision. Before establishing Join Capital, he served as a Principal at Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, worked as a Director at Bertelsmann, and held corporate finance positions at Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, and UBS. He previously earned a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from the IE Business School.
