Todd Dagres

Todd Dagres is the Boston-based Co-founder and Partner Emeritus at Spark Capital, a venture capital firm managing over $12 billion in assets with notable investments in Twitter and Slack. Before establishing Spark Capital, he served as a General Partner at Battery Ventures, where he led early-stage investments in prominent technology companies including Akamai Technologies and Arbor Networks. Earlier in his career, Dagres worked as a senior technology analyst at Montgomery Securities, Smith Barney, and Yankee Group, and he earned an MBA from Boston University. His investment portfolio spans consumer internet, enterprise software, and hardware, featuring successful funding rounds for startups such as 1stdibs, SiFive, Freight Farms, and Covestor. Beyond his primary venture capital work, he shares his expertise as an adjunct professor at MIT Sloan and serves as chairman of the venture philanthropy organization Power Launch.
