Todd Foley is a Managing Director at MPM BioImpact, where he specializes in life sciences and biotechnology venture capital investments. He joined the firm in 1999 following corporate business development roles at Genentech and management consulting positions at Arthur D. Little. Foley holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemistry from MIT. During his tenure, he managed MPM’s $200 million strategic investment relationship with Novartis and directed major portfolio exits, including Vertex’s $950 million acquisition of Semma Therapeutics and Novartis’s $665 million purchase of Selexys Pharmaceuticals. Currently, he serves as the co-founder and Chairman of Aktis Oncology, alongside board leadership positions at Crossbow Therapeutics, ashibio, AstronauTx, and Firefly Biologics. His ongoing investment focus centers on guiding emerging portfolio companies developing oncology treatments, cell therapies, and sickle cell disease therapeutics toward successful exits.
